AOS Privacy Policy

The AOS application allows the safe planning of site visits by Atkins staff, and selected contractors and partners.

Data collection within the AOS app is restricted to activities undertaken as part of an employees' work during their employment at Atkins, or selected contractors and partners. Data held will consist of:

1) Initial registration information, including the person's name, staff number, work email address and work telephone number.

2) Details entered as part of a planned site visit, consisting of activities to be undertaken, risk assessment and site visit location.

3) Device location information. This will only be captured if the user requests it, and will only be disclosed in the event of the user not confirming their safety within the required time. In such an event, their escalation contacts will be notified, and provided with their most recent location only. The escalation contact will then be responsible for ensuring that the user is safe. Location information is only captured during an active site visit, and only when it has been explicitly requested by the user. Only the most recent location is stored, and is automatically deleted as the closing of the site visit.

All data other than location information is retained for 10 years. All location information is automatically deleted at the closing of the site-visit.

Data is used purely for ensuring staff safety, and will not be shared with any third party.
